The Organisation

Though Counselling information Trust (CIT) is a newly registered charity ( 1143084), its service counselling 16-25 year olds has been provided since 2007 as a not for profit organisation called Alliance Counselling. During that time it has grown from one to seven fully qualified Counsellors, and has built a reputation for excellence. Its referral base now includes many local GP’s, social services, the NHS, volunteer organisations and governmental youth services such as Connexions. The challenges we have faced locally are mirrored throughout the UK by countless other small counselling organisations and charities. CIT is now actively looking to expand the scope of its services to offer help to these organisations and to find new locations throughout the UK to increase its own face to face counselling services.
